28-year-old writer navigating the highs, lows, setbacks and self-discoveries of our tumultuous twenties through the healing and transformational power of story-telling. Our twenties are profoundly formative, life-changing years, with endlessly pivotal moments, lessons and choices. At the age of twenty-one, after losing my father - who, at the time, I did not realise was, and would continue to be, my life’s most valuable teacher - I became acutely aware of the fleeting time that we have on this planet. Since then, I have embarked on an inward journey to make sense of what it is that matters in this life; the things that connect us; the simultaneous complexity and simplicity of our collective experiences. I have learned how listening to one another’s stories - our uniquely lived experiences of the world - can enrich us with the wisdom and courage to step into who we truly are underneath all of the masks. I hope for my writing to be a vessel through which our stories can be told and the universal threads of our humanity - friendship, family, love, loss, career, calling, ego, shame, belonging, vulnerability, grief, connection, community and more - can be explored. This blog is a series of mini journeys of self-discovery, where I share my reflections on the things which make us who we are, and the lessons learned from those I've met along the way.
